HUNTING SEASON

Players signed up - 30 as of 23/03

Get ready for an adventure of a lifetime with our Basingstoke based Treasure Hunt!

How it works

We’ve hidden sets of clues all around Basingstoke which we are calling “The Paths”; there are three paths to walk “The Paladin”, “The Bard” and “The Merchant”

Each clue when solved leads to a location within the Basingstoke area where the next clue on the path awaits. It will be up to the treasure hunter to solve, get to and find the clues. We’ve not made them easy, whether you’re a Jones, Croft, Drake or Fox read them carefully everything you need lies within!

From a year’s free D&D up to a PS5 Pro, amazing prizes await!

£10 per person to enter, all entries will contribute to the prize fund meaning the more treasure hunters the bigger the treasure!

On entry each treasure hunter will receive:

  • 1 x entry into the treasure hunt
  • 3 clues (one for each Path, clues will be released on 18th March)
  • Free entry to a special Treasure Hunt themed Quiz Night at the Dice Tower on Tuesday 18th March 2025
  • Free entry to the Treasure Hunt After Party at the Dice Tower on Saturday 19th April 2025

Gather your wits, maybe even form a team, and get ready for an unforgettable adventure!

£10 per person

The first clues will be available from between 6-7pm on Tuesday 18th March either at the Dice Tower Treasure Hunt Quiz night or via email for those who can’t attend.

The final item to indicate that the treasure hunt has been completed must be returned to Scott by 8.08pm (Sunset) on Saturday 19th April 2025. Any late returns will be considered by Scott but are extremely unlikely to be accepted (unless under an exceptional circumstance).

Yes but there will only be a single prize given regardless of team or individual. Who gets the prize? the team will have to figure this one out themselves, might be easier to enter individually and work together for some but not all of the treasure hunt.

We record the person who wins it and instead of booking online they can simply let us know when they would like to attend. Eligible for any D&D session between 18th April 2025 and 18th April 2026.

They must be able to demonstrate they’ve solved each of the clues to be able to claim the prize, if not the final location will be reset and announced. (to Scott’s satisfaction, as decided by Scott and only Scott, anyone who has “technically” solved it will be immediately rejected as not operating to the spirit of the treasure hunt)

People can sign up any time before April 17th, we’ll update the prize pot as more people sign up. (The sooner you sign up the better your chances)

We’ll keep the receipt and WE will be able to return it and replace it for them with an item they would prefer of equal or lesser value (the winners will not; if the item is of lesser value the cash difference between the items will be donated to the charity of the winners choice).

We will not under any circumstance give away a cash alternative (we do not have the licences or permissions for a cash prize)

No, but we will consider giving smaller special prizes to those who have had a particularly eventful hunt or those who really get in the spirit and have made the hunt waaaaaay better for them being there and taking part. This will be decided by Scott and is far from a guaranteed outcome.

The prize will carry over to a treasure hunt we’ll plan for August, anyone who took part in this treasure hunt will be given a free ticket for the next one; any new participants will add to the prize pot.

All clues will be hidden with permission from the building owners / appropriate location authorities and will be wheelchair accessible.

Scott will monitor the sites throughout and replace any clues as needed (if a clue needs replacing this will be announced via social media)

The final clue will lead to a specific and unique Dice Tower item that the winner can exchange for the prize so multiple people can’t claim it.

All disputes will be reviewed and decided by Scott who will have the final say

Yes, Scott will share no information on the clues and will ensure no one has an unfair advantage (no hints, no tips, no vague feelings, no sneezing in specific directions, etc). No staff discounts can be used on tickets to ensure fairness between participants
